Feedback...

Well school is over in 2 days! I know that most of you are already enjoying summer and we still have school and this week some mid-spring cool, wet weather. We're ready for summer but I'm not sure Alsace is!

Thank you for your prayers for June. Probably the most positive result of that is that my fight against distraction is progressing with the addition of increased time in the Word on a daily basis. I'm trying drive out wasted time with time better spent. We just changed cell-phone providers to save money and I got a new phone in the deal...so there is still some "distraction" out there to get me with new gadgets! The good news about that is that it's sufficiently advanced as a phone that it will also serve as my mp3 player to listen to teachings and I have a both English and French searchable Bibles on it as well so there is some value to be regained as well. ;c)

Please Pray...

  • Distraction - As summer starts, our schedule is a bit more free and, indeed, we need some rest and a change of daily rhythm. Having said that, I want to purpose to fill our time in a way that again, drives out distraction by filling our time purposefully. Please pray for the Godly balance between rest and purposeful activity...especially in ways that honor our family relationships.

  • Worship/Intercession - Part of the purposeful activities that I want to schedule this summer is 3, 1-hour sessions of prayer and worship at our church each week. Please pray that those who need to be involved in this make the time to do so and that this would be a foundational investment into what God is calling us into as a church.

  • End-of-year School "Fete" - This Saturday we'll celebrate the year at Collège-Daniel with a Fete/Carnival. There is a tremendous amount of effort that goes into this each year and much remains to be done in the next two days. One key prayer is for the weather - not only for Saturday but for the next two days as we set up everything outside! It's been cold and rainy as of late and we need to dry out! Additionally, I'll be handling all of the sound system responsibilities this year. Please pray for wisdom and strength during these next 3 days of prep and celebration (and late-night clean-up!)

  • Summer Intercession Project - For the intercession walk the 2nd half of July, please pray for the registrations to come in soon so that the logistics can be established. Pray also that we would really be God's instruments to intercede for His purposes during this walk.

  • Technology Work - Major changes need to take place this summer with the computer system at Collège-Daniel and it's up to me to get them done. It's not only a matter of getting accomplished that which I know how to do, there is a fair portion that will stretch my technical experience boundaries quite a bit. In addition there are some nagging technical issues that we need to get dealt with this summer. FULL PLATE. Please pray for grace to solve technical problems and wisdom to bring all of the changes about that need to occur.
