| Well, as you can see (if you're looking at the calendar) I'm as late as I've ever been getting this out. I encountered some web site problems whereby recent Wordpress updates had broken my old, convoluted spaghetti code and several pages were just displaying weirdly! As our newsletters are posted on our website I wanted to get it fixed before sending anything out. I just got it fixed today and considered just NOT sending one this month (giving you all a break!). But I think enough has just happened and enough is before us that it's worth connecting and continuing to solicit your valuable prayer support. Regarding what you prayed for last month: -
Rusty and Janet - The good news is that they arrived Thursday safe and sound and the arrival was just joyous! The more challenging news is that they were denied their long-term visa. This was a real blow but keeps us walking close to the Father to understand what this is all about. At this point, they're planning on re-establishing their residency in the East Coast of the US in January and re-apply with a different strategy at a different French Consulate. Unfortunately, the consulate is not allowed to say why their visa was denied so we really need to know from the Lord the right strategy to get them established here. When they arrived this time, Rusty told me that he felt that the land was welcoming them but that he felt the rejection of the political powers at the same time. We've felt the same thing at times here in France, and have seen that sometimes earthly governments need a bit more time to understand someone's calling into a particular place of geography! - Hufschmitt Family - They are coping with the death of their son and moving forward, but externally, it's been the hardest on the mother. Please continue to lift them up.

School Work - Angela's progress towards establishing order and even joy in the tasks surrounding the cleaning of the school have been nothing short of miraculous! She's been infused with much creativity and energy. The feedback has been 100% positive and even gushing at times. Parents are feeling valued and not put upon and it's making all the difference in the world. Angela has received as much blessing for herself by the feedback and sense of accomplishment as the school has by the increased order and cleanliness. So cool! As for me, I've made some progress on some intractable technology issues and have had the opportunity to upgrade the computing hardware relating to the accounting for the school. The old hardware finally breathed its last and our accountant, a powerful woman of faith with a frugal streak a mile wide is thrilled with her "new" equipment. Some folks are just easy to please! ;-) - SOZO - The ministry was announced at church last week officially. The elder in charge explained the ministry and then Angela gave her testimony as to the difference it's made in her life. Immediately people have been signing up to get ministry and finally get long-standing dysfunction in their lives dealt with. This has been SO encouraging for so many and Angela is having much joy in watching people getting healed before her eyes as she simply leads them to interact directly with the Lord and let Him do all the heavy lifting!

| - Rusty and Janet - Please pray for Rusty and Janet's integration here among us; that we would all be able to "welcome the Christ" in each other. Pray especially for their language learning in this season.
- "Spread your wings!" - Last spring, several leaders in our church held a prophetic weekend to energize the junior high and high school age groups. It was an incredible weekend where many kids got permanently turned on for God in a radical way. The follow-on weekend is being held the weekend of the 29-31st of this month. Olivia will be attending as well. Please pray for all the leaders and kids involved that they would go EVEN DEEPER in God this weekend!
- Schedule Transition - In conjunction with learning more exactly how God provides for us and guides us financially, I'm understanding how this affects where I put my energies...whether into work that is remunerated or not. Specifically, I'm feeling led out of one particular remuneration situation and into another one. I'm also feeling increasing impetus to be discipling in anything I'm doing - a HUGE challenge for me as I find it difficult to explain why I do things to people and find it much easier to simply do them by myself! This must change in me. All of that to say, I need prayer for transitioning my schedule into one which has "margins" for developing this discipling/training aspect of my life.
- SOZO - Please pray for Angela and the two others on the SOZO team (three others if you count the newly arrived Janet who will be helping/coaching in the ministry) as they start up a regular schedule of sessions (2-3 each week). Please pray for a deep work of healing and restoration in those receiving the ministry. This ministry will literally be preparing solid foundational bricks of individuals and families in our church that will allow the Lord to move us forward as a Body to really accomplish the huge vision that He's given us.
- Finances - We'd really like to implement all that we've learned from the book Wealth, Riches and Money by Craig Hill and Earl Pitts
. I'm currently re-reading the book to really get it inside me. Of course the enemy would love to see this drop, but Angela and I are motivated to really put a new way of walking in God's provision and stewardship into place in our family. Please pray for a special grace from the Lord for us to come together on the various decisions this entails and to begin to hear His voice more clearly as we steward His resources. |
