Here we are on the day of our 17th wedding anniversary!
Our union as husband and wife, so many years ago, has been a catalyst that God has used over and over again in our lives to manifest His purposes...even the dark times where Satan wanted to steal so much from us. It proves clearly to us that God can work all things together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purposes. So, rejoice with us on this day and pray with us too. We want to continue to be conduits, even in our weakness, of His purposes here on earth. As we prepare to get over to France in a few days, we pray that that would be especially true over there.
|As our time is short these next few days, I'll get right into the prayer requests. Thank you for standing with us!

- Travel - David and Olivia travel to France on Monday and Tuesday Sept 1, 2 - Pray for safety in driving and on the ferry and a good time of father-daughter connection. Angela, Noah and Rachel travel via plane on Tuesday Sept 2 - Pray also for safety and smoothness in the flight connection they must make in London.
- Finances - Our financial needs in the moving process compared with our income at this particular moment create a situation probably as tight as it has ever been. Last year's language school depleted our cushion and now it can be revealed more clearly exactly where our faith lies. Will we trust God for provision or will we be anxious? Pray for our faith to be built up and strengthened during this time.
- Administration - When we get to France we need to immediately start the process to get residence permits. I don't anticipate problems other than it's another huge stack of paperwork in French at an already busy time for us. Pray for grace and favor and native French helpers in this process.
- Houses - We need to sell one and we need to buy one! Pray for the right buyers who will be blessed to get this house in Scotland and be a blessing in this neighborhood. Pray for the right house in France and necessary provision that will accomplish God's purposes. Pray for smoothness in the processes involved, complicated in Scotland by our distance and in France by our ignorance and the language challenge.
- Moving Issues - We have to leave the bulk of our house on Monday in a state ready to be loaded for the movers. Pray for our next few days! Pray also that we get the loading and shipping details worked out. We need to find the best deals and be good stewards. We'll have friends staying here some of the time but not all of it after we leave. Pray for the safety of the house and contents while it's empty. We don't yet have a place for the furniture and stuff to land in France. If we need interim storage there, pray for the provision for that.
- Kid's School - The kids begin a transition this week as big as any of us. Pray as they enter their schools that they would adjust quickly, learn better to lean on the Lord, and would show the love of Jesus themselves to their new "friends-to-be". Pray especially for Noah's language skills and motivation.
- Reconciliation School Prep - In the shuffle of these last two weeks, my preparation for the Reconciliation School staff activities has been almost non-existent. As of September 8th, our staff training begins. Pray that I can find the proper balance during this time of transition as there will need to be about 3-4 full-time focuses for me! ;c) This will be a time where Angela and I must stay connected even as we attempt to "divide and conquer" the mountain of challenges in front of us. We need your prayers to help us as we're desperately feeble in this area
