From our regular newsletter, you're probably aware that we're finally leaving for France. Less than a week from now, our children will be running off to school and we'll be starting our language school. It makes my head spin right now and I can't fully express the way I feel about it, but I know, at least that the changes we're about to undergo are monumental! Hence our needs for prayer change from, how we can wait and be patient in trusting God to, "Helllppp!!! We're on the run!" ;c)
This month's prayer topics:
Packing: Wisdom in what to take now and what to leave for our friends to bring in a few weeks (what a blessing that gift from our friends is!)
Travel: Safety, mechanical soundness for our car (and the ferry!) and a great bonding time for our family.
Health: I'm feeling a bit run down (sore throat, etc.) and I don't anticipate long, lazy, restful moments for the next...oh...year or so! There is much to do and much change in the next week for all of us. We'll need our strength...for sure!
School: For all of us! We're all being thrown in the deep end and we'll need to lean heavily on the Lord. Pray that as parents, with our own assignments and catching up to do, that we will "be there" for our children. I think though, that this will also be a time when our kids learn, even more clearly, that God is there for them. Pray for that realization to really hit home with them.
Family: Along the same lines, we as a family really need to demonstrate our love for each other during this time.
Our Vision: The rubber finally meets the road. This is our opportunity to love and serve the French people and show them the love of God. Pray for the development of our hearts and our vision for France...it's time for it to "grow legs!"

Until next month,
David
